Z-Square Technology Attends a Summer Conference Series

Cambridge, MA, August 29, 2013 – Z-Square Technology continues to build its network with full attendance at the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) conferences this year. The summer has brought many opportunities for Z-Square Technology to interact with jurisdictions and other players in the motor vehicle industry at the AAMVA conferences of Region II, IV, I and the International Conference (AIC).

AAMVA provides an excellent opportunity to hear about current and upcoming trends in modernization and the issues that are facing the motor vehicle departments across North America. The time spent with colleagues, jurisdictional members and other vendors in the four different locales throughout the United States proved to be an excellent networking opportunity. We are thrilled to have met many new faces and jurisdiction members during our first full year as an Associate AAMVA Member. We truly believe the conferences are a valuable channel for communicating with potential customers and partners.

Z-Square’s attending members at the AIC included board member and former Deputy Director of the California DMV, Mimi Khan. Mimi was able to re-connect with many industry colleagues and offer the Z-Square team additional depth and breadth towards building new relationships. When asked about her experience this year at the AAMVA conference she responded, “I am always impressed with the synergy that is created when DMV experts gather to discuss and solve their mutual problems facing their jurisdictions. Now I have a keener understanding on how we, as their private sector partners, fit into helping improve the industry.”

Mimi has over 25 years of executive level experience in California state government and served as the Deputy Director for both the Licensing Operations and Administrative Services divisions during her tenure with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Her responsibilities over the DMV’s driver licensing and identification, occupational licensing, driver safety and research and development branches encompassed leading the development of policy, regulations and research, including work on California’s first law regarding autonomous vehicles. Additionally, she was very active in the Executive Governance Committee’s development and implementation of the DMV’s strategic use of technology to enhance fulfillment of its mission.

Z-Square formally introduced the InteRoads Automated Testing System at the AIC. InteRoads was configured for the conference to be used as a fun, trivia challenge contest for booth visitors. The trivia challenge offered exhibit hall attendees the chance to experience the simplicity that Z-Square incorporates into all its software solutions in an enjoyable and entertaining manner. Prizes were handed out to the top scorers at the end of the conference.

Dean Wormell, Director of Business Development and Sales explained, “Every AAMVA conference provides us with the opportunity to grow our knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing the AAMVA community. We truly appreciate the input and feedback received from the jurisdictions and other vendors when demonstrating our modernization solutions and discussing our unique business approach. As a growing company, AAMVA provides us ample opportunities to forge new relationships with jurisdictions and industry partners.”
